Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of recorded transactions in the accounting system
- Leading month-end closing process
- Preparing quarterly Group Reporting Packs for the Group (in line with IFRS)
- Responsible for quarterly intercompany reconciliations
- Responsible for preparation of annual consolidated financial statements (in line with local GAAP)
- Responsible for tax calculations and submissions to the relevant authorities
- Managing annual audits
- Managing accounting of Storm Aviation subsidiaries in Germany, Cyprus and Nigeria
- Leading projects in finance team to improve accounting processes and systems
- Taking over responsibility for certain month-end closing tasks (fixed assets ledger, accrued costs, deferred charges, IFRS16 adjustments etc.)
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Head of Finance
Requirements – Experience and technical skills
- At least 2-3 years experience as Chief accountant or Senior accountant in medium or large size international organization
- Professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.) obtained or in the very final stages
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related subject
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements and tax system
- Experience in consolidation of financial results of Group entities would be considered as an advantage
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central would be considered as an advantage
